About Endoscript
The Endoscript Endoscopy Solution was developed by professional programmers in collaboration with senior endoscopists. It was essential to make the user interface as intuitive and easy to use, notwithstanding the sophistication and complexity of the underlying procedures. This is software that makes life much easier for the busy clinician.
Endoscript can be purchased as a standalone product or it can sit comfortably within the hospital’s main computer systems. If needed it can also send its data electronically to national or regional endoscopy databases for subsequent reviewing/audits.
Endoscript’s Philosophy
Time and speed is of the essence for busy clinicians. No time to read software manuals.
Our intuitive software produces easy to read discharge summaries that look as if they have been dictated by the endoscopist rather than being generated by a computer.
Use the mouse to mark diagrams of the anatomy where pathology is seen, specimens taken and treatments carried out. These attributes are added by intuitively clicking buttons and boxes on-screen. These button-clicks are then used in real-time to construct the sentences which are displayed as you build up the discharge summary. There’s plenty of scope for free text.
The mouse clicks stored in the database can then be readily audited.
Endoscript’s modules
Gastrointestinal
The GI Module is Endoscript’s signature component. It covers OGD (OesophoGastroDuodenoscopy), ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde CholangioPancreatography), colon/sigmoidoscopy and proctoscopy. From the data entered using the mouse, automatically produce the discharge summary and lab request forms.
Bronchoscopy
As with the GI Module, the Bronchoscopy Module allows a diagram of the bronchial tree to be quickly marked with up with the bronchoscopist’s findings, specimens and treatments.
Urology/Cystoscopy
The cystoscopy module is planned for release in Q2 2023
Endoscript’s main features
Each endoscopy room will require its own Image Capture kit. The kits take still images and/or videos of the procedures when a button is pressed on the ‘scope.
The images and videos are then attached to the reports by the endoscopist when the procedure is done.
Endoscript’s Image Capture kits are compatible with all makes of endoscopy stacks.
Save extremely clear still images and video recordings, high-definition crisp 1080p, to your network server.
The Scheduler computerises the process of booking patients, doing away with the need for page-a-day diaries. Patients can be booked into “waiting rooms” before being scheduled, for the different procedures, into specific endoscopy rooms.
The Scheduler produces printed A4 “Lists” for each room. Each list shows the names of the medics in attendance and the list of patients and their planned procedures.
The Scheduler easily handles patient cancellations, rebookings and changes to the lists.
The information captured within the modules can be exported in a variety of formats.
For example, the discharge summaries can be automatically exported in Portable Document Format (PDF) for inclusion in the hospital’s own electronic patient records.
The underlying data items can also be exported, for example, in Extensible Markup Language (XML) format for sending electronically to National Endoscopy Database (NED) or external local/regional databases.
